Padmaja's Biography
Padmaja was born in Visakhapatnam, India. She is the eldest daughter of Dr. & Mrs. Jagannadha Rao Manukonda who served as missionaries to Jamaica. She and her siblings migrated to the United States when she was 18 years old to attend Andrews University where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She is married to Dr. Subhakararao Medidi and they have a daughter and a son, both of whom are physicians.
When Padmaja was ten years old, her father, an accomplished singer introduced her to music. He has always been her inspiration and as a result of his encouragement and support, music became her passion and her ministry. She feels that music should be spiritually meaningful and speak to the soul.
In 2000, she went to India and recorded her first CD with her father. It was such an exciting, joyous experience, she knew that Music Ministry was what she wanted to do with her life.
Padmaja realized that she wanted to use her talent for the glory of God so she prayed that He would show her the best way to do that. Her prayer was answered as God brought her to the attention of the Executive Director of Loma Linda Broadcasting Network (LLBN), who told her that she should make a music video DVD.
God opened many doors and paved many paths to make it possible for Padmaja to travel to India and work with an amazing production crew to record her DVD in a very short period of time.
She hopes to continue to use the talent God has given her to reach hearts all over the world for Him. Padmaja finds that her life has changed completely since she turned her gift over to God and she is eagerly looking forward to what He has planned for her next.
